The HPE department utilized Google Apps in 2011-2012 year by entering our Girls and Boys lockers and combinations. Instead of having to reprint and update on a daily basis all of the updating was done electronically and everyone in the department could see the same form from any electronic device at any time. This would also be an efficient create our Lesson Plans.
A situation which we observed on our locker forms is that the files are saved automatically once you have entered the data and move the cursor to the next cell. You should be sure to either automatically save the file before you close or just move to another cell to create an automatic save, otherwise you could lose the data.
